I happened across this and found it both startling and reassuring. So this happens to other people too. How bizarre, but what a relief!

Some days I feel like I am going out of my mind. No, maybe not quite that far. Perhaps the best way to describe it is that I feel like I’ve stepped into another reality or universe. I don’t even know when it began as I’ve felt odd since around 2012, but I remember the day it finally occurred to me – it was early December of last year (2017).   1. I’ve run across this too, and it leads to a lot of self-doubt, believe me. But some of it is also the internet effect. We’ve seen some of this stuff transmuted into memes that were either done wrong through incompetence, or on purpose to modify or even clarify the point they’re trying to make. “Luke, I am your father,” for example – if you’re doing that as a quip or a meme, you have to start it with Luke so the reader or the audience will know what in the hell you’re talking about! They didn’t haven’t to do that in the movie, because Luke was right there! You already had context. In other cases, however, including lost sox and the current political sitch, I’m pretty sure we’re all side-slipping into an alternate universe every now and then.
