A bee/wasp ring. Plique-a-jour enamel, diamond, and peridot.

Rose quartz cabochon set in sterling silver leaves. This ring is very unusual in that rose quartz is an uncommon stone in art nouveau jewelry.

From Lang Antiques:

“A placid pale-blue elongated oval aquamarine floats inside a fanciful and feminine openwork frame accented with twinkling diamond crescents and a pair of golden flowers. This extra-lovely and highly individualistic jewel measures 1 1/16 inches long by just over 5/8 inch wide.”

  1. I would absolutely wear that bee ring; there’s something tremendously appealing about the “movement” in the piece. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Apparently I like Art Nouveau. I may need to hit the Internet auctions 😉

  3. I’m especially drawn to the rose quartz – that is a gemstone you rarely see in any kind of jewelry, let alone art nouveau.

  4. Not a fan of bees or wasps so the idea of wearing jewelry inspired by it is odd to me – I didn’t realize that was even a thing. I think my favourite is the one with the opal and pearl.

  5. Beautiful. Although I like rings, I don’t wear them because I find them uncomfortable.
Really really like the Georges Fouquet’s one 🙂
