K is for Kremlin

One of the most memorable buildings in the world is the Kremlin, located in Moscow, Russia.  The Moscow Kremlin includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. The complex serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.

And just because it’s so pretty, here’s another version of the Kremlin made from gingerbread with lovely frosting.

If you could create a building out of chocolate, what would you make?  How tall, how many rooms, any gardens or courtyards?

  1. If I created a building made of chocolate, it would be a Victorian Mansion on a sprawling edible estate. As you sunk your teeth through the roof of any of the many turrets and gables, you’d find fully furnished chocolate rooms within; right down to the heavy drapery, lounging sofas and lush area rugs. Not to mention the most incredible three story, floor-to-ceiling, rounded chocolate library. Rolling ladders, walls lined with every book you’d like to (literally) consume, and the most decadent chili-chocolate ‘leather’ furnishings set before a large fireplace tall enough to step into. The grounds would display a delectable array of riotous English gardens, expansive green areas, and at least one, possibly two proper hedge mazes. Beautiful statuary in all manner of gargoyles and angels would be crafted and places ever so carefully, werewolves would stalk the estate. And way in the back, at the top of a hill below a grove a trees infested with pixies, would be a old graveyard. (I may need an acre or two plus a lifetime to create it, but it would be well worth it!)

A great question, and a terrific post. I had fun answering it, and the Kremlin is one of the more memorable and amazingly buildings ever created. Thank you for this post, have a great time with AtoZ – I’ll certainly be back when I can! 🙂

  3. I would love to see the entire Disneyland park made of chocolate!!! Hmmmm. Heavenly! My mouth is watering, as I imagine “It’s a Small World” in a variety of delicious chocolates!
