Time for a little audience participation. I’ve got this 600 page manuscript sitting here next to me. My agent does not want it anywhere near her until I cut it down to the marketable length of 400 pages.
So here’s The Question: Do I set myself a deadline of, oh, Memorial Day to get this monster whittled down to size?
If it were me setting a dead line would keep me from procrastinating but it would make for a really stressful time instead I would work on reducing it by say a page a day depending on how good your work ethic is try deviding it into sections and complete a section each day maybe but u definitely don’t want to set a dead line that would have you stressing about it all the time … Hope this helps 🙂

75 days between now and Memorial Day. I have 550 pages to go through. That makes it a little more than 7 pages per day. That seems doable. I’ll just have to be strict with myself about getting the work done in the mornings while the kids are at school.
